Sexual Deconditioning
We invite you to a three-day workshop with Vedanta Aspioti devoted to working with the body, life energy, sexuality, pleasure, love and inner freedom.
Wilhelm Reich and Alexander Lowen, pioneers of body-oriented psychotherapy and bioenergetics, introduced the concept of the “genital character”. This term describes a person who feels free and can fully express their love — both romantic and sexual — and from this place participate in life with openness, pleasure and gratitude.
The “genital character” can be understood as the alive, spontaneous and open aspect of our being — the part that can experience pleasure, ecstasy, celebration of life and contact with our own spirituality.
What will this workshop be about?
During the workshop, we will discover and heal what stands in the way of fuller contact with life, the body, love, passion and natural expression. Through meditation, bodywork and conscious therapeutic work, we will gradually recognise and soften the ego armour held in the body.
The aim of this work is to come closer again to the body as a source of vitality, bliss, openness and natural self-regulation. This is a process that Vedanta calls sexual deconditioning — freeing sexuality and life energy from old conditioning.
Life energy and conditioning
Because of childhood trauma and wounds, our life energy may have been conditioned to move in a direction opposite to life, spontaneity and full feeling. We can understand this energy as libido — the bioelectric, sexual and emotional energy of life.
When we regain greater inner freedom, we can more fully experience and express love, passion, pleasure and vitality. This can lead to a deeper sense of satisfaction, fulfilment and connection with our own body.
Who is this workshop for?
- for people interested in bodywork and experiential psychotherapy,
- for people who want to deepen contact with life energy, love and pleasure,
- for people ready to look at conditioning around sexuality, the body and expression,
- for people working with themes of shame, tension, disconnection or control,
- for people seeking greater freedom, spontaneity and authenticity in contact with themselves.
Form of work
The workshop will combine meditation, bodywork and conscious therapeutic work. The work takes place in a safe group space, with respect for each participant’s boundaries, readiness and individual pace.
